The Radio: It speaks to millions while speaking to one - knows no boundaries in time or place - informs, entertains, inspires and motivates! Who doesn't love the radio?
The 2023-2024 Greenville High School Lion Pride Band Drum Majors and Flaming Flash Officers invite you to the 94th annual Lion Pride Band and Flaming Flash Floor Show, themed "On the Radio!"
The Floor Show tradition evolved soon after the formation of the two groups. The Greenville High School Band was organized by Ed Bernard in 1931. The Greenville High School Flaming Flashes, recognized by many as the world’s first drill team, was created by the legendary Gussie Nell Davis. The event, which fills the gym year after year, features live music from the band, themed dance routines performed by the Flashes and welcoming ceremonies for incoming Band Members, Drum Majors, Flashes and Officers.
Grab your friends and family and check out one, or both, of the shows set for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6, in the Greenville High School gymnasium. Tickets can be purchased online for $8 here:
Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door for $10. Come out and support these hard-working students. You are sure to hear at least one song to sing along with and see someone you know performing.
