GISD had two teams compete at the VEX Robotics World Championships earlier this week. It was an intense three-day event with teams from all over the world in attendance.
Team 4148A was in the Engineering division and ended the qualification rounds in 10th place and managed to make it to the semi-finals before being eliminated in a heartbreaking match.
Team 4148E was in the Arts division and finished qualifications in sixth place. They were eliminated in round 16 but earned the Think Award for best programming and autonomous functions.
“These teams have both performed incredibly this season and are the best I have ever had the privilege of working with in my 20+ years of competitive robotics.” VEX coach Corey Bankston said. “They have had the best season of any team I have coached. Every year they get better, and we will reset for next season and continue to chase excellence.”
